David Silva has switched from goalmaker to goalscorer as City step up their campaign - but the Spanish star reckons it's all down to striking up a great understanding with skipper Carlos Tevez.
Silva followed his cracker in the FA Cup victory over Aston Villa with the first-half winner against Wigan on a weekend when the Blues strengthened their bid for Champions League next season.
He is hardly likely to become a close challenger to leading scorer Tevez's 21-goal haul, but World Cup winner David says he owes his adjustment to Premier League demands to City's Captain Fantastic.
He said: "You have to realise Carlos is a fantastic player first and foremost and it’s easy to slot in with him, and create an understanding with him.
"I am happy to have done my little bit to help him be so high in the goalscoring charts, and if I can help him get a few more that’s great, so he can be up there with the leading scorers."
